Jalen Diamond is ready to take on his city and then conquer the world. The Chicago songwriter sat quietly for about three years while he cooked up a recipe that was not only undoubtable but couldn't go unrecognized. "Pocket" will serve as the first offering from Side A of his debut Mixtape "Before the Fury".

The Boisterous track places Diamond at the centre of desire in a lust filled dance club., his objective: "Make You A Believer". In the enchanting dance track Diamond proclaims "Forweeks on end I've been building a pretense", a statement that becomes evermore evident when examining the credits for his Upcoming Mixtape. "Ive had the chance to connect with so many artists from the city in the last few years and it really has influenced my perspective. From Adamkilla,Femdot and Chance the Rapper to having Chris Classick as a mastering engineer on this project, Ive really been offered so much love and I hope to extend that same gracefulness to the city as a whole”

Hailing from the Great city of Chicago, Songwriter, Producer and Performer Jalen Diamond has developed a keen musical style defined by bombastic beats and a slick lyrical approach. Inspired by greats from his city like Kanye West, Common, Twista and more, he has also sought inspiration from the sounds of West, East and Southern HipHop, Pop and R&B. Sighting Beyoncé, Travis Scott, Kaytranada, Usher, Darkchild, Michael Jackson and Prince as some constant influences, Jalen also reaches past his country s borders. Sighting Afro Latino Artists like Celia Cruz and Joe Arroyo as musical reference points, he shows a love for both music in a global context and a passion for music before his time.
